Planting
- Soak overnight, plant 1/2 inch deep, sprouts in about a week.
- Plant 35,000 seeds on 1 acre, with plenty of room for more.
- Plant 10-20 seeds in a pot to maximize yields.
- Throw and sew or make strategic rows.
Sprouting
- Grow moringa microgreens all winter long on your kitchen table or windowsill
- Sprout 100 seeds in a tray
- Harvest fresh greens in less than 30 days
- Transplant after 60 days into bigger pots
Press for Oil
- Crack the shell exposing the white seed its full of oil - press it with your fingers
- moringa 'oleifera' means oil producing
- The seed grows inside a pod called a 'drumstick'
- Moringa oil is used for skin, hair, nails and cooking. It's a mono-saturated fat with a high smoke point.
- 1 seed is about 20% oil.
- A full sack of 35,000 seeds can make up to 1 gallon of oil.
- 1 gallon has 128oz and I sell 1oz moringa seed oil for $20 making $2,560 from pressing a full sack
